Owen is 6 years old and a very active boy. He is stuck in what we call a "sister sandwich" with a sister 15 months older then him and one just 13 months younger. Then add his baby sister to the mix and the poor boy is ready to go crazy.
Despite all the estrogen he lives with he is still all boy. He loves wrestling and playing army and getting dirty. Every single pair of pants he is own has the knees torn out (including most of his uniform pants). He is a walking tornado.
But he has his soft side, too. He still sleeps with his doll, Boomer, and usually sleeps between his sisters' beds because he can't bare to be even just on his side of the room alone. He adores his baby sister, Nora, and does just about anything for her. They have an amazing bond.
Owen finally graduated Kindergarten on June 4, 2008. He was so excited. The ceremony was in the church and Meagan got to leave class and sit with us for it. The kids marched down the aisle, the boys all dressed in the nice shirts and ties and the girls in beautiful spring dresses. It was very pretty.
They sang a few songs and then Father Ralph and the principal got up to hand out the diplomas. The kids got cute felt caps to go along with their laminated diplomas. Afterwards we all went down to the school basement for refreshments and a slide show of the year. Owen is so happy to say he is officially a 1st grader. School starts back up August 25th.
